Installing Vitastor on Proxmox 9

The Vitastor repository does not contain the newest QEMU version so this must be done prior to upgrading the system.

Download the apt package signing key

wget https://vitastor.io/debian/pubkey.gpg -O /usr/share/keyrings/vitastor.gpg

Add the apt sources file

cat > /etc/apt/sources.list.d/vitastor.sources << EOF
Types: deb
URIs: http://vitastor.io/debian
Suites: trixie
Components: main
Signed-By: /usr/share/keyrings/vitastor.gpg
EOF

Pin the Vitastor packages for QEMU compatibility

cat > /etc/apt/preferences.d/99-vitastor << EOF
Package: *
Pin: origin vitastor.io
Pin-Priority: 510
EOF

Install Vitastor packages with apt

apt-get install vitastor lp-solve etcd vitastor-client pve-storage-vitastor
