According to the XMRig documentation, enabling hugepages results in a typical hash rate increase of 20-30% for most algorithms with an up-to-50% increase in hash rate for RandomX algorithms. I haven't actively used social media sans looking stuff up on Reddit or getting info from a Discord server since around 2020-2021. The algorithms helped me curate my feed into a persistent anger and outrage bubble. The angrier I got, the more I engaged and the more I fed the algorithms the info they needed to make me mad. In doing so it's really separated me from greater society (and also I'd like some chance of someone else reading this blog, that would be cool), so I got social media... yay...!

The site had a major overhaul on the back-end. I started this site using Drupal CMS release candidate before I understood how recipes worked and that led to some issues that I didn't want to work around considering how little I'd actually done. Major updates include content metadata for rich snippets, an XML sitemap, a regular sitemap, preliminary AI integration, and integration with Revive Adserver (yeah, boooo ads, but still).

Starting the site is great and all, but what's the point? What are we doing? Why are we here? And the most existential of all questions, can I really remember to take pictures and video of my projects? This blog seeks to fill the gaps between what I can do and what I can remember later. Instead of spending an hour search the internet for an answer I've already found, I want to find it once and write it down.

After opting-in to the Linux kernel 6.11 on Proxmox 8.3 on a Lenovo ideacentre 300s, I got the error `w: possible missing firmware /lib/firmware/rtl_nic/rtl8126a-3.fw for module r8169`. You fix it by downloading the firmware directly from the Linux source tree and updating your initramfs.

Every year I swear I'm going to start a blog and document all the little projects I do and every year I don't. If you're reading this then I'm already doing better this year, unless this is the only post and then meh.
